Beaches in Rivedoux-Plage

Rivedoux-Plage - two big sandy beaches

The sheer size of the beaches in Rivedoux-Plage is immediately visible when you cross the bridge onto the Ile de Ré. Vaste swathes of fine sand stretch southwards, from the nautical base to the Chauveau Lighthouse, and northwards to the village harbour. They are very popular with bathers, windsurfers, kitesurfers and watersports fans in general.

For your comfort and security, the South Beach is supervised from the end of June to the start of September. It has public toilets and showers suitable for those with reduced mobility. No animals are allowed on the beaches from 1 June to 30 September.
