Saint-Martin-de-Ré, a place of life that does not leave you indifferent by its charms. Saint-Martin-de-Ré is like a book opened by its historical monuments: the half-timbered house La Vinaterie, L’Hôtel de Clerjotte (the Ernest Cognacq Museum) and the citadel of Vauban remains one of the main spot for transfer of detainee to a prison camp. Not forgetting the church and its bell tower with a panoramic terrace overhanging the town and the barbette’s Park with donkeys in shorts (a tribute to local tradition).

Not to mention, the markets and restaurants of the area in and around the port that ensure the promotion of local products. Saint-Martin is magnificent by its architecture which gives every visitor a chance to discover the alleys down to the smallest detail or appreciate people’s passion.
