6 Loix
A peninsula in the island, Loix is attainable by a winding road among salt marshlands. Because of its particular location and its remoteness, the village has retained its authentic charm.

The heart of the village is a nice square, with the market and church of Sainte Catherine supporting a square belltower, from which spread out interlacing narrow streets in which you can admire charming houses. Set back from the village stands the last tide mill which was used to clean the salt before the grinding process. This site provides an excellent base for walking between the sea and marshlands, and exploring the Pointe du Grouin offering wonderful views.
