So much experience to live in Ile de Ré

The many sandy beaches on the island and the calm seas invite visitors to bathe, swim and paddle, and to partake in any number of beach and water sports: beach volleyball, surfing, kite surfing, stand-up paddle, sea kayaking and, of course, sailing and motorised sailing from the harbours of Ile de Ré, not to mention water skiing and further water sports. If you're an adventurous spirit, park your car or bike and set out on a walk in the woodland or the dunes. Behind a dune or at the turn of a path that seems to be leading nowhere you might just find a panoramic view of the Atlantic or a beautiful, secluded beach known only to the local people.

Whether you’re a beginner or something of an expert, when it comes to sailing, several sailing schools offer courses for all ages both at sea and in enclosed waters; seasoned sailors can also hire boats from sailing clubs or hire companies and spend the day at sea.
