  • At the head of more than 900 hives today, Aldo François and his team look after their little protégés on the Ile de Ré and in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.

    More than just a production site or a shop, it's also a place for sharing, where visitors are invited to sample the different products from the hive and take part in the various tours and events on offer throughout the year.

    Every event (school holidays, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc) is a good excuse to discover or rediscover...

    - Apiary tour (8 years to 99 years) by prior arrangement
    Our guided tours, there's something to suit all tastes and ages.


    Guided tour followed by a tasting of our products, from April to September, Tuesday to Friday at 4.30pm: €3 per person (booking required).
    Children's workshops are also available by prior arrangement.

    Professional and enthusiastic, the Abeille de Ré team produces honeys and honey derivatives using traditional methods that respect the environment.
