July marks the start of the long-awaited school holidays for children, and what better way to make the most of the moment than with a trip to the seaside?
Beach clubs, sea outings, bike rides, building sandcastles, tasting local produce and, of course, well-deserved ‘ice cream’ breaks, keep families busy all day long.
July on the Ile de Ré is also the time of year for a number of renowned festivals, which have become an essential part of the island’s cultural landscape: the Festival Musique en Ré and the International Guitar Festival set the pace for summer evenings for holidaymakers and locals alike!
As you can see, for young and old alike, July is a month to be savoured and experienced, and we’ll always remember it as a time to share.
