European Museum Night


The 21st European Museum Night on 17 May

On Saturday 17 May 2025, the Ministry of Culture is organising the 21st European Museum Night. To mark the occasion, a large number of museums across France are opening their doors free of charge to the general public to show off their collections, with unusual tours, guided tours, screenings and other activities, making for an unforgettable night out!

The Musée du Platin – La Flotte

The museum will open its doors from 6pm to 11pm, with the following programme: 6pm to 8pm: Self-guided tour & workshops (seamanship, shellfish and fishing awareness) 8pm to 10pm: Self-guided treasure hunt in the museum (kits distributed) 10pm to 11pm: Self-guided tour by torchlight These tours are free and do not require booking. The Ernest Cognacq Museum – Saint-Martin

The museum will be open free of charge from 6pm to midnight. Discover the temporary exhibition “Ré occupée, Ré libérée” to mark the 80th anniversary of the Liberation.on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation, stroll through the garden created in the spirit of the 17th century, and discover the different faces of the city.cle period, and discover the different facets of the history of the island of Ré through the different rooms of the museum, from the Vauban fortifications to the antechamber of the penal colony, via the fashion of the island and the works of local painters.
