Lucky June holidaymakers
June on the Ile de Ré, a peaceful foretaste of summer! June is a particularly pleasant month to discover the Ile de Ré, before the summer rush. The days are long and sunny, and nature is in full bloom. It’s the ideal time to enjoy the island in a more peaceful atmosphere, while benefiting from a mild, sunny climate. Cycling is still a must: explore the cycle paths lined with vineyards, forests, salt marshes and beaches, all under the light that is beginning to take on the golden hues of summer. At this time of year, temperatures are ideal for cycling without suffering from the heat. There’s also plenty to do on the water: the sea is slowly warming up, the surf schools are open, and conditions are often perfect for beginners or advanced surfers. Paddle, sail, kitesurf or just swim, there’s something for everyone. And of course, there’s nothing like long breaks on the sand to enjoy the first real moments of summer, building sandcastles with the family or simply relaxing in front of the ocean. So get out your bikes, sun cream and festive outfits: June is just around the corner!
Music Day
To celebrate the summer solstice on 21 June, the villages of the Ile de Ré will come alive to the rhythm of jazz, rock, salsa and funk! With street concerts, dance battles and colourful shows, come and enjoy the longest day of the year to the sound of music!

Saint-Jean's Day
As every year, the traditional Fête de la Saint-Jean is celebrated at the end of June. Mark your calendars! Concerts, dance shows and DJ sets, not forgetting the traditional fireworks display to round off the programme in style, will set the pace on Saturday 28 June on the Ile de Ré!
