The artisan chocolatier on the Ile de Ré
Île de Ré Chocolats has been welcoming you to the heart of the Ile de Ré since 1995. Eric Vallégeas invites you to come and see how his specialities such as "pommes de terre", cognac and fleur de sel caramels are made in the laboratory.
Île de Ré Chocolats is an island institution, anchored in the village of Saint-Martin-de-Ré. Artisan chocolatier Éric Vallégeas has created a range of regional specialties using local products such as AOP butter from Poitou-Charentes and fleur de sel from Ré.
Store open all year round:
- 9.30am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday in July and August - Tuesday to Saturday the rest of the year.
Visits with chocolate-maker demonstration and tasting:
- During school vacations (except Christmas): one visit at 3:30pm Tuesday to Friday
- July and August: one visit at 11am and one at 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
