Over the past 25 years, Les Confitures du Clocher has built up a solid reputation in the jam industry in the Poitou-Charentes region.
The family-run business is one of the top 10 prize-winners in the Poitou-Charentes flavours competition.
The origins of the jams go back to 1794, when Claude Heraudeau started producing strawberries. He very quickly became the specialist on the Ile de Ré, thanks to the quality of the product, and supplied the gastronomic tables of the region.
In 1983, Françoise Heraudeau began making strawberry jam. Thanks to the reputation of the products and the quality of Françoise's jams, success was immediate! And so began the Heraudeau family story...
25 years later, no fewer than 60 products - jams, fruit jellies - are made in the traditional way by master jam-maker Bertrand, who was voted best jam-maker in France in 2018.
Today, the company produces only these aromatic plants for making jams and jellies, but rigorously selects these fruits and vegetables according to their origin (France). The sugar content is measured to ensure that the fruit is picked when ripe.
