Come and immerse yourself in the world of the Retais marshes: a unique natural space, calm and rejuvenating, with a very special light.

PRODUCTION - GUIDED TOUR - DIRECT SALES - HUT & TASTING

La Ferme des Baleines, an aquaculture farm specialising in oyster beds, nestles in a protected natural environment at the end of the Fier d'Ars, in Saint-Clément-des-Baleines on the Ile de Ré.

Discover our production, which comes exclusively from our 100% oyster beds: oysters, imperial shrimps, clams, sea lettuce, samphire and organic marsh plants. We invite you to visit us on our 40 hectares of marshland to explore the aquaculture industry and share our commitment to quality production that respects the fragile ecosystem of the Ile de Ré marshes.

Visit to La Ferme des Baleines.
This includes a visit to the oyster and clam nursery, a presentation of the techniques used to rear and mature oysters in claires, and a tour of the marsh plants.
Duration: 45 min to 1 hour visit + a tasting of oysters and marsh products.
