Ars-en-Ré library in rue du Havre
The library has three areas: adult readers, teenagers and young people aged 0 to 12.
There is also a convivial area with a newspaper corner.
The library takes part with the school in the national ‘Incorruptibles’ prize and welcomes children from the school, the crèche and Méli-Mélo.
The library also organises a number of monthly events: a reading event on the second Tuesday of the month from 4pm to 6pm, a public screening on the last Thursday of the month at 6pm, a writing workshop twice a month on Saturday mornings, including the last Saturday of the month at 10.30am, and a story time (new in 2025!) one Wednesday morning a month at 10.30am.
The library also offers video games (Nintendo switch) and organises video game tournaments on Saturdays during the school holidays at 3pm. For jigsaw puzzle fans, the library has also set up a participatory jigsaw puzzle.
