Throughout the year, come and take part in a nature outing organised by the LPO. Accompanied by a nature guide, you'll discover the natural riches of our region. Several options are available!
- The Oiseaux et Nature (Birds and Nature) event
All year round, the LPO's nature guides invite you to discover the biodiversity of the Retais.
Given their duration and the need to remain calm, these activities are not recommended for young children. Check out our ‘Nature Walks’ for everyone!
- Birds and nature in the nature reserve
Departing from the Maison du Fier, 2h30 of observations and explanations to improve your knowledge and fill you with wonder. As the seasons change, the Nature Reserve takes on different faces, and the bird species vary with the seasons.
- Birds and nature in Ars-en-Ré / La Couarde / La Lasse de Loix / Sainte-Marie
These outings are based on the concept of the Birds and Nature outing in the nature reserve, but offer you the chance to discover other natural environments.
2h30 of discovery and observation! They are organised throughout the year, but more or less regularly: the interest of each site depends on the season, so we invite you to consult our online diary!
- Nature at dusk
Exceptional during the long evenings from June to August! Join our guides for a twilight outing to discover a specific fauna in a very different atmosphere.
Duration: 2h30. Prices: €10/€6. Must register at the Maison du Fier.
- Nature Escapes: discover sensitive natural areas
Every year, the LPO invites you to discover various sensitive natural areas on the Ile de Ré. Grouped together under a new departmental scheme, these areas with special features can be explored in the company of our knowledgeable nature guides. Keep your eyes peeled, there's always an animal or plant to spot.
Duration: 2 hours. Price: €8/5
- The family version: the Nature Walk
Organised exclusively from the Maison du Fier, this nature outing is an opportunity to discover and observe. Lasting one hour, it is suitable for adults and children of all ages. It's the ideal outing for those who don't have much time or just want a glimpse of what you can observe.
Duration: 1 hour. Price: €5/€4. Registration required at the Maison du Fier.
This short outing is also available as a ‘pack’: Nature walk + visit to the Maison du Fier! This gives you a complete overview of the natural environments of the Ile de Ré by visiting the museography of the Maison du Fier, and then discovering the surroundings of the nature reserve.
Duration: half a day. Prices: €8/€6. Registration required at the Maison du Fier.
