"Cercle Nautique d'Ars-en-Ré History and photographs 1955-2025" exhibition

Founded in 1955, the Cercle Nautique d'Ars-en-Ré (CNAR) is a 1901 association. The CNAR has been awarded the ‘École Française de Voile’ (French Sailing School) label, and is approved by the Ministries of Sport and Education. It is affiliated to the Fédération Française de Voile (French Sailing Federation) and allied to the Yacht Club de France. The CNAR is the oldest sailing club on the island of Ré and has been a benchmark for the discovery and teaching of sailing on the island for many years. It was the first club to be affiliated to the Fédération Française de Voile de Charente-Maritime. Its club number, 17001, bears witness to this.

To celebrate an anniversary, what better way than through the medium of photography
to tell the story of a history that began 70 years ago? And what could be more
unifying than an exhibition and a book based on family albums?
