The patriotic commemoration organised in La Flotte will be an opportunity for all residents of La Flotte to pay special tribute to the soldiers who died for France during the First World War (1914–1918).

The ceremony will take place as follows:
- Speech by the Mayor and reading of the message from the Minister of the Armed Forces, Veterans and Remembrance
- Honouring the dead: laying of wreaths and minute's silence at the War Memorial
- European anthem and national anthem performed by the La Flotte municipal band
- Sale of Bleuet de France poppies by the CCAS
In the presence of civil and military authorities, the La Flotte Municipal Band, the Fire Brigade, and with the participation of a detachment from the 3rd Regiment of the La Rochelle Voluntary Military Service, a guard of honour.
