Lusophone Africa makes itself heard with rhythms borrowed from the music of Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and Angola. With lyrics always in French, the melancholy of the Morna never seems far away in Gabriel SAGLIO's hoarse voice, the guitars are sometimes Cavaquinho and sometimes nervous to dance the Funana with the accordion and always the bass and percussion invite you to dance thanks to the syncopations of these intoxicating musics. Then, when the dance is in full swing, a host of backing vocals suddenly flood the album, plunging us firmly into the heritage of the Cape Verde of the 70s and 80s (Bulimondo, Pedrinho, etc.) or the Guinea Bissau of Super Mama Djombo.
