On the La Flotte site, the excavation carried out at the end of 2024 by Inrap archaeologists, on the orders of the Drac Nouvelle-Aquitaine, has brought to light medieval remains that attest to vast trade networks in the early Middle Ages between the Nordic world and the Atlantic coast.
