The 24th edition of the Saint-Martin-de-Ré Artists' Open House will be held, as every year, on 16, 17 and 18 August 2025, from 3pm to 8pm.
The event, which has become an unmissable summer fixture, will offer the public an artistic journey through the village's narrow streets, with the participation of ten exhibiting artists.
Among the highlights, Alain Cazalis' engraving workshop at 25 Rue des Gabaret, open for over 25 years, will welcome his daughters Izumi and Flore, respectively an illustrator, ceramist and engraver.
This local cultural venue will offer a family-friendly and creative dialogue around engraving and illustration. Photographer Anne Pailhès will exhibit her photographic prints for the first time in the studio garden.
A few doors down, at number 23, visitors will be able to discover the world of two artists from La Rochelle. The colourful paintings of painter Sophie Adde, heavily inspired by nature, will be accompanied by Cathy Lam's modelled sandstone figures and characters.
The tree in the courtyard of number 23 will house her collection of ceramic puppets.
Figurative sculptor and draughtsman Michel Thierry will take over the courtyard of 7 Cours Bailly des Écotais, while at 10 Rue Leudaste, three artists with complementary approaches will showcase engraving and screen printing: Isabelle Panaud and Anne Laville. Isabelle Duchamp will take over the space with her delicate plant-based textile prints.
Between demonstrations, exhibitions and meetings, this new edition promises an artistic journey rich in discoveries with professional artists.
