The period between Christmas and New Year's Eve is a great time to get together, share wonderful musical moments, and forge bonds with musicians and between audience members.
Les Saisons Musicales en Ré, in partnership with Les Musicales de La Flotte, are delighted to welcome the Artecombo wind quintet for this occasion.
Formed in 2007, it brings together flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon. All graduates of the Paris Conservatoire, these five musicians, with their different sensibilities and cultures, seek out very different musical and artistic worlds. They have thus developed a highly varied repertoire, combining classical music, film music, transcriptions, contemporary creations, etc. ArteCombo is invited to numerous festivals and collaborates with renowned artists.
The programme for this concert will reflect their image. It will include a first part of classical repertoire, featuring arrangements of often familiar scores by composers such as Saint Saëns, Dvorak, Chopin and Verdi, followed by a second part of film music, which you will no doubt recognise.
Programme
Anton DVORAK Symphony No. 8 (3rd movement: Allegretto grazioso)
Camille SAINT-SAENS Danse macabre (Symphonic Poem, Opus 40)
Frédéric CHOPIN Waltz (Opus 34 No. 2)
Charles GOUNOD Funeral March for a Marionette
Frank SIBOLD Stairway to Heaven (in the style of Spanish follies)
