La Mer écrite presents the ‘Petites Bamboches du Canton Nord’, so come one, come all!
The 13th edition of the ‘Petites Bamboches du Canton Nord’, Thursday 24 July 2025, Place Carnot in Ars-en-Ré.
On the programme:
- At 7pm: meet at the port of Ars-en-Ré for the start of the Green Line Marching band, which will head towards the church square via the rue du Havre.
The Green Line Marching Band is an electric brass band made up of a dozen musicians who march around a pedal-powered tractor carrying guitar amps. The band, made up of leading musicians from the Nantes rock scene, covers Anglo-Saxon rock and pop hits from David Bowie to the Verve, not forgetting the Stooges, Nirvana and Blur...
The band will lead the public to the event site, located on the Place de l'Eglise.
- 8pm: contemporary dance with ‘Fièvre’, a frenzied piece of choreography written for 6 dancers by Clémentine Bart from La Rochelle (Point Bart company), who won over the audience at Petites Bamboches two years ago with her solo ‘Eddy’.
- 9pm: the Green Line Marching Band performs the second half of their show on the site.
- From 10pm to 2am: DJ set by DJ Dupont from Rennes, with a vinyl set featuring disco, rock and electro.
On site from 7.30pm to 2am: refreshments and food. Chef Louis will be serving two versions of the chawarma sandwich, marinated beef and vegetarian, all cooked with vegetables and local produce on planchas before your very eyes.
Admission free
14th edition: 27 September on the square in front of the old town hall (programme to be announced).
