In the footsteps of Tig’Ré!

A fun and educational walk in La Couarde-sur-Mer

Take the whole family on a surprising discovery of La Couarde-sur-Mer with “Sur les Traces du Tig’Ré”, an interactive trail where your playground becomes a source of awakening. For around 2 hours, explore this authentic village on the Ile de Ré while unveiling the mysteries of the tiger mosquito – its realities, its preconceived ideas and the health issues that affect us all.

An adventure combining games, discovery and sharing

As the tour progresses, young and old alike will engage their curious eyes, solve riddles, spot clues hidden in the landscape and make their way to the final hiding place. The route is brought to life by the Explorama app, which guides you step by step on your quest.

It’s the perfect opportunity to raise your children’s (and your own) awareness of the environment and public health, while enjoying some fun outdoors.

Tips for a successful family treasure hunt

Play as a team: every member of the family participates—children observe, parents decode, and everyone has fun.

Respect the environment: stay on the trails, leave nature untouched, and keep the clues in place.

Prioritize safety: be vigilant on shared paths (pedestrians/bikes), especially with children.

Take your time: go at your own pace, take breaks, and enjoy the unique setting of Île de Ré.

Bring what you need: water, snacks, a hat, sunscreen, etc. for an enjoyable trip without any surprises.

An adventure game is much more than a walk: it’s a fun, educational, family experience in the heart of the Île de Ré countryside.
