La Ferme des Baleines, an aquaculture farm dedicated to oyster farming, is located at the end of the Fier d'Ars, in the commune of Saint-Clément-des-Baleines on the Ile de Ré, in a protected natural environment.
Discover our products, which come exclusively from our oyster beds: oysters, imperial shrimps, clams, samphire and organic sea lettuce. Come and visit us on our 40 hectares of marshland to find out more about the aquaculture industry and share our vision of quality production that preserves the fragile ecosystem of the Ile de Ré marshes.
The Ferme des Baleines opens its doors for visits on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10.30am.
The programme includes an exploration of the oyster nursery, an explanation of the techniques used to rear and mature oysters in claires, and a presentation of the plants typical of the marshes.
