This walk will allow you to peacefully explore the seaside landscapes of this resort with a stroller.
Between the heritage of the Île de Ré, dunes and marshes, set off to explore La Couarde-sur-Mer. This route is suitable for people with pushchairs, who will find places to stroll, have fun and rest as they wander through the streets.
- Guidebook with maps/step-by-stepContinue straight ahead along Grande Rue for 450 metres, passing in front of the square in front of Notre Dame de l'Annonciation Church.
Turn left onto Rue de la Motte towards Avenue du Mail, 230 metres away.
Turn right onto Avenue du Mail and follow the pavement on the right-hand side until you reach the Peu Ragot car park. The distance is 450 metres.
You are now on Avenue d'Antioche, which you will cross to head left towards Peu Ragot beach, 200 metres away, via Promenade Antoine Albeau (a viewpoint where you can enjoy the scenery).
Turn around and take the small path on the right (partly sandy surface) 50 metres away to reach Pergola beach.
Follow this small path, crossing the Pergola beach car park for 300 metres. (Accessible platform 50 metres away).
Turn around and continue straight ahead on Rue Joachim for 230 metres.
Turn right onto Avenue du Mail and continue for 270 metres.
Turn left onto Rue des Pêcheurs, crossing at the pedestrian crossing (250 metres to Rue Pasteur).
Turn right to rejoin Grande Rue after passing the church square and continue for 150 metres.
Turn left onto the winding Petite Rue des Écoles and continue for 200 metres to reach Square Roger Bonnin with its children's playgrounds.
Turn right onto Rue Charles de Gaulle and continue for 110 metres.
Turn right onto Cours des Poilus and continue for 140 metres.
You will find the reception office, your starting point, on the left on Route de Saint-Martin, 100 metres away.
