Bike ride through the vineyards, visit to the Cave Coopérative des Vignerons and tasting with local products
For decades on the Ile de Ré, men have been working the land, cultivating the vines and making wine. The methods may have changed over time, but the passion hasn't.
The winegrowers continue to pamper their vines and grapes to extract the very best. Ripened under the island's sun, the grapes are harvested when fully ripe, then carefully vinified to produce quality wines, pineaux des Charentes and cognacs with varied profiles.
Set off by bike to discover the vineyards of the Retais. At each stop, learn a little more about winegrowing and the Vignerons de l'Île de Ré. Halfway along the route, enjoy an epicurean stop at an oyster farm overlooking the sea. Once the walk is over, return to the cellar to discover the distillery and the pineaux des Charentes and cognac cellars. Finish with a tasting of local products (sausage, cheese, chocolate).
Visits must be booked in advance.
Full price: €30/person
Reduced rate (students, jobseekers, pensioners, disabled people): €26/person
