Come and admire the fresco of the convict in the port of Saint-Martin-de-Ré
This map, originally painted on a wall facing the port of Saint-Martin by a prisoner from the village's central prison, was intended to inform travellers of the bus timetables that appeared underneath it. There is a false belief that it was made by a convict, but it actually dates from after the Second World War, when the convict prison no longer existed.
