The Atelier Quillet, which has been awarded the ‘Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant’ label, specialises in the conservation, restoration and binding of old documents.
The Atelier Quillet team welcomes you all year round to Loix on the Ile de Ré, in 1,700m² of new, purpose-built buildings, to show you its document conservation activities.
Nearly 40 professionals work on the conservation, restoration and binding of documents. Some specialise in the restoration of iconographic documents, bookbinding (from the Middle Ages to the present day) and gilding.
To give visitors an insight into all these activities, guided tours of the Atelier (lasting 50 minutes) are available by prior arrangement on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
You'll discover the specialists at work and the different trades and skills practised at the Atelier Quillet.
