Built in 1626 under the reign of Louis Xlll to consolidate royal power on the island of Ré against the Protestants of La Rochelle, it was occupied by the German army during the Second World War and even transformed into a vacation camp!
Opening times:
April, May, June, September and All Saints' Day vacations: 10am - 6:30pm
July and August: 10am - 7pm + 8:30pm - 10:30pm on Wednesdays
Closed on Saturdays in April and during the All Saints' vacation.
From mid-May to the end of September, we give way to our newlyweds from Friday morning to Monday 2.30pm.
A number of events can be organized at Fort La Prée, including corporate events, all year round. We have set up two seminar rooms to meet this demand.
