To make getting around as pleasant as possible, the Ile de Ré has a number of transport solutions to help you find what you’re looking for!

Whether you want to get from one village to another, enjoy the beaches and markets or simply get around in a convenient way, our bus, electric shuttle and on-demand shuttle services are designed to meet your needs.

La Rochelle-Ile de Ré" bus routes

Route 150 “La Rochelle-Ile de Ré”of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region serves the 10 communes of the Ile de Ré and La Rochelle, all year round.
Fares/Payment : tickets can be purchased on the bus from the driver; reservations are not possible.
– Single fare €2.50 and return fare €4.50, free for children under 4 years old.
– Line 150 passes are available weekly (€18), monthly (€45) or annually (€450).
– Combined Car Ré + Bus Yélo passes are also available monthly (€58) or annually (€420 / €282.50 for young people under 28). Credit cards are accepted, but it is advisable to have the exact change in case of equipment failure/bus change, etc. The Modalis app can be downloaded for season tickets and payments.
Timetables for the summer and winter seasons are added to our website as soon as they are received from the transport companies.
People with reduced mobility and any accompanying persons have priority when boarding. Information on how to get on and off the bus, including how to book in advance, is available on the company’s website.

Regional buses line 150 will be able to carry bicycles (maximum 5 per bus).
This service is free and open all year round on the line’s timetables at stops identified by a ‘bus carrying a bike’ pictogram, see timetable below. Reservations must be made before 5pm the previous day at the latest. Bookin on CarVélo app or by phone (see booking details at the bottom of the timetable).

Line 150 La Rochelle – Ile de Ré

In order to ensure connections with the TGV from Paris (delayed to 12:55 p.m. on weekdays during the construction phase until 16/10/2025), the 1:50 p.m. departure from La Rochelle bus station will serve stops after Saint-Martin-de-Ré – Cognacq Jay on request from Monday to Friday until 16/10/2025.

We strongly advise you to plan your journeys well in advance, especially when returning from the Ile de Ré to La Rochelle (station or airport connections). On bridge weekends and school vacation departure and return days, we advise you not to take the last bus, but one or even two buses before the most suitable time for your connection. Disruptions may be expected, particularly when crossing the bridge during busy periods.
