A guest house set in a noble 19th-century building on the port of Saint-Martin-de-Ré, capital of the Ile de Ré, in the heart of the Vauban town, a World Heritage site. Large garden with swimming pool.

We opened this guesthouse in 2020, in the heart of the Vauban World Heritage City.

Passionate about the island for many years, we fell in love with this 1885 residence, one of the most beautiful and emblematic on Saint-Martin. After renovation, the house has regained its lustre, preserving its moldings, woodwork, parquet floors, fireplaces, porcelain basins and all the architectural treasures of the period. Choose from five spacious ground-floor bedrooms overlooking the garden, each with a unique, brand-new bathroom featuring antique porcelain basins. Enjoy the peace and quiet of a large, south-facing garden, complete with swimming pool (counter-current pool). A breakfast of fresh produce is served in the wooded dining room or on the terrace. We also offer aperitifs with tapas. Numerous restaurants are within a five-minute walk of the house.

All bedding is new and top-of-the-range. Beds are either 180x200 cm (kingsize) or 160x200 cm (queensize), and the decor is very tasteful.

- ALCÔVE: Wood-panelled room with a magnificent 22 m² ceiling, located on the west-facing ground floor, in a quiet location overlooking the garden. Bathroom in the room, with shower installed in an old alcove covered with small mosaics. Separate toilet. Queen-size bed.
- VOLUTE: 20 m² room located on the west-facing ground floor, quietly overlooking the garden. Bathroom with shower. Separate toilet. Queen-size bed.
- PRÉLUDE: 35 m² room on the west-facing ground floor, in a quiet location overlooking the garden. Monumental oak fireplace with oak panelling on all walls. Period stained-glass windows and doors. The shower is installed in the bedroom. Separate washbasin and toilet. King-size bed.
- FUGUE: 28 m² room located on the west-facing ground floor, quietly overlooking the garden. Separate bathroom with shower and toilet. The kingsize bed is on the mezzanine and the ground floor offers a 2-seater sofa with coffee table. Separate bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet.
- HAIKU: 18 m² bedroom located on the ground floor with a large bay window opening onto the private 20 m² terrace overlooking the garden, very quiet. Separate bathroom with shower, washbasin and toilet.

Sustainable tourism
Sheets are changed every 6 days and towels every 3 days, to reduce water pollution.
We wash our own linen to avoid having to transport it by truck to be washed outside.
Our sanitary products are organic and biodegradable.
Our foodstuffs are as organic and local as possible.
