The Écomusée du Marais Salant invites you to enter into the aesthetic poetry of the invisible by bringing together the photographic work of two artists: Rose-Lynn Fischer and Maurice Mikkers.

Observe the elusive beauties contained in salt and in a tear. Imagining the architectures of our states of mind, the natural or fantasised landscapes that these two elements reveal. By following the movement from the macroscopic to the microscopic, the audience is invited to sail through the process of transformation. Plunge into a liquid metaphor, to discover water as an indexical material that carries the vital fluid.

Rose Lynn Fisher is an American photographic artist born in 1955. She lives and works in Los Angeles, and never ceases to contemplate the impalpable movements of the world around us, from the macroscopic to the microscopic. Her multiple fields of exploration evoke both the hidden meaning of places and the abstract patterns of nature. She is interested in fields as diverse as haute couture, architecture, fluid dynamics and biology.

Maurice Mikkers, born in 1986 in the Netherlands, is a medical laboratory analyst, media designer and photographer. All these experiences intermingle in the plastic rendering of his photographic work. Attempting to place Maurice Mikkers in the traditional artistic circuit is futile; he doesn't fit in. His sponsors, or "clients" as he calls them, include Adidas, Microsoft, Spotify, Ernst and Young, etc. His project entitled "Imaginarium of Tears" is a series of micrographs that reveal the beauty of tears.
