Cultural ,  Sports activities ,  Nature outings ,  Open days at Saint-Martin-de-Ré

  • This event is organized for the benefit of the sea rescuers of our island and will propose many animations.

Our local station SNSM île de Ré will participate. It will be equipped for the occasion with a digital donation terminal dressed as a lifeguard. It will invite the public to plunge into the world of sea rescue: guided tours of the SNS 458 launch, rescue demonstrations, initiation of first aid procedures, use of a defibrillator, use of a VHF, use of hand lights, marine knot workshop, percussion of a life raft, percussion of a life jacket, organisation of a drawing competition for children on the theme "draw a lifeboat" and sea outings if conditions allow. A stand selling SNSM by-products will be set up on site.

This day of festivities represents a unique opportunity to go and meet the rescuers to discover their daily commitment and to better understand the stakes of sea rescue as well as the conditions of intervention. It is also an opportunity to support the SNSM île de Ré station in order to allow its 20 volunteers to be trained, to train, to be equipped and to have modern and efficient nautical means at their disposal, so that they can carry out their mission in the best conditions of efficiency and safety for all.
