The Ars Information Association and the Tambour d'Ars have always been closely linked.

The Tambour d'Ars was created on the initiative of Pierre Goguelin, a secondary resident, and Emile Gaudin, the mayor, in order to create a link between the "Arsais d'Ici et d'Ailleurs" in 1975, via this local newspaper.
