Origin of the island and vestiges of the Châteliers Abbey (12th C.), traditional activities : agriculture, fishing, oyster-farming (scale models of sailing boats).

Headdresses, costumes, Charentais interior with period furniture, a beautiful collection of photos of Rétais people taken at the beginning of last...An ecomuseum devoted to history and traditions of Île de Ré.
