La Cabane des Sauniers

The Coopérative des Sauniers de l'île de Ré groups together 70 salt producers and employs over 20 people year-round.

At the Cabane des Sauniers in Ars-en-Ré, on route de la Prée, opposite the Cooperative, you'll find all the flavours of the Ile de Ré: the essential ranges of salt from the Sauniers de l'île de Ré (coarse salt, fleur de sel, fine salt, aromatic salts), as well as other local products.

Produced in the salt marshes in the north of the island using traditional, environmentally-friendly techniques, coarse salt and fleur de sel are then stored and packaged in our salt shed. We offer a wide range of presentations.

In our Cabane des Sauniers de l'île de Ré, you can also discover many products made with our salt by our friends on the Ile de Ré: tasty cookies from Biscuiterie de Ré, preserves from La Rétaise, sardines from Atlantic Salaisons, samphire from Ferme des Baleines, products from Abeille de Ré (honey and sweets), two pineaux from the Coopérative viticole de l'île de Ré...
