Founded in 1955, the Cercle Nautique d'Ars-en-Ré (CNAR) is a 1901 association. The CNAR has been awarded the ‘École Française de Voile’ (French Sailing School) label, and is approved by the Ministries of Sport and Education. It is affiliated to the Fédération Française de Voile (French Sailing Federation) and allied to the Yacht Club de France.
